Recently I recieved a pair of Skullcandy “Smoking Buds” earbuds. I was moderatly impressed by the sound quality for a pair of $10 fashion earbuds, but was ultimatly dissapointed by the build quality of them. After about one month one earbud stopped working. “Whatever,” I thought, “my guitar amp only outputs in mono anyways and nobody wants to wake up at 2:30AM to the sound of me playing a poorly practiced rendition of ‘Sugar’ and they fit in my pocket a hell of a lot better than my Sennheiser HD202s.” Well, the other earbud didn’t last too long either, dieing only a couple of days after the first pair gave up the ghost. Meh, they won’t be missed; none of the three included tips fit in my ears, they are so bass heavy they make my HD202s sound treble heavy, and I can’t say I cared much for the styling either, as it seems that everything aimed at the 18-30 year old market is plastered with skulls.
